Bowel Cancer Awareness Week 2011 campaign

Bowel Cancer Awarness Week is held annually in June. In 2011, the campaign was held from 5-11 June. Bowel cancer is our country’s second biggest cancer killer, after lung cancer. However, 90% of cases can be cured if found early. Cancer Council advocates for the use of screening measures such as Faecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT), and aims to raise awareness around early detection measures.
