Knowledge is power and when it comes to cancer, patients and their families want to be armed with the facts.
We have a wealth of resources available for people affected by cancer, covering topics such as understanding different cancer types, questions to ask your doctor, different treatments and side-effects, coping with cancer emotionally and practically, recovering from cancer and life after cancer.
Resources can be found on our website or by calling Cancer Council Helpline on 13 11 20.
Patients and their families from non-English speaking backgrounds can also find the support they need. The Cancer Council CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) Cancer Resource Directory is a searchable online library of more than 600 publications, videos and websites, providing a wide range of translated cancer information.
We also provide guidance to health professionals in the form of our clinical practice guidelines. These guidelines bring together the best available evidence and recommendations for physicians treating cancer.
