A national forum on cancer in the Australian workplace

Cancer Council Australia and the ACTU joined forces in December 2009, to present an Australian first, kNOw cancer in the workplace, a forum at the Australian National University in Canberra to explore the issues of workplace cancer and the challenges facing employers in protecting their employees and communicating about cancer issues.

International presenters, including Pam Eliason from the Toxic Reduction Institute at the University of Massachusetts, Canadian based international OH&S consultant Larry Stoffman and head of the International Agency for Research on Cancer’s scientific reviews of environmental risk factors, Vincent Cogliano, joined a host of Australian experts to provide an informative and in-depth review of issues and initiatives to address growing concerns around workplace cancer.

A number of presentations from the forum are now available to view/download.
