Director Supportive Care
Cancer Council Tasmania
Cancer Council Tasmania is here for all Tasmanians who turn to us for support. Whether this is for one-on-one emotional support, group sessions, transporting people to treatment or providing financial support and complimentary therapies. All of these supportive care services are provided free of charge state-wide to anyone who needs it, made possible through the generous financial support of the community – and we’re on the hunt for a new Director Supportive Care to lead our work in this space!
This involves initiating and ensuring the delivery of an appropriate range of contemporary and evidence-based supportive care services. From the services delivered in our world-class wellbeing centres in Hobart and Launceston to our outreach services in the North-West, to those online and over the phone. This role will be responsible for ensuring that we continue to respond to the needs of the community and work to identify opportunities where we can increase access to, and knowledge of, our services for those who need them.
As a member of the executive team, it’s also an exciting time to be working in this space, with a number of projects about to commence that are aimed at strengthening and growing supportive care services for Tasmanians impacted by cancer. So, you’ll need to be a strategic thinker, keen to work collaboratively and able to nurture strong working relationships with others working in this field across the community sector and government.
