Routine testing could save your life
Anyone with a cervix, aged 25-74 is eligible for a screening test. You can have a healthcare provider collect your screening sample or collect your own. Both are simple and equally effective. The sample is taken from the vagina, using a simple swab which is then checked for human papillomavirus (HPV).
Why is the Cervical Screening Test important?
The test detects the presence of HPV, a common infection that shows no obvious symptoms and can cause cells in the cervix to turn cancerous.
