Work in cancer care?

Cancer Council is here so that no one faces cancer alone

Help more Australians get the support they need, today

Cancer Council’s confidential information and support service is for all people impacted by cancer when they need it most, no matter their postcode, background or cancer type.

Qualified healthcare professionals staff Cancer Council’s 13 11 20 service. We're here to listen, answer questions, and guide people affected by cancer to evidence-based information they can trust, and support services that best meet their specific needs. This service is available at every step – from cancer screening and investigation of symptoms, through diagnosis, treatment, survivorship or advanced cancer.

We’re also here to support all people affected by cancer - whether they are facing or have survived a cancer diagnosis; or are a carer, friend, family member, or health professional.

Call 13 11 20 to get confidential cancer information and support today.

Learn about our upcoming enhancement

We’re enhancing Cancer Council’s current13 11 20 service to improve access and equity.

As part of the Australian Cancer Nursing and Navigation Program (ACNNP), Cancer Council will be offering new ways for more Australians affected by cancer to access support and information that best meets their needs, now and into the future.

We know that increasing accessibility will help more people affected by cancer, particularly those identified by the Australian Cancer Plan, get the support they need and improve cancer outcomes – this is particularly important to better support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people living in regional and remote locations or from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, those who identify as LGBTQIA+, or who live with a disability.

That’s why we’re increasing our capacity and improving access to services, so every person affected by cancer gets the support that best suits them.

The service will be a key point of entry that can refer people on to further support including local cancer nurses, healthcare professionals and other specialist cancer organisations, or in-language support and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled health services. Working together, this enhanced service will support the cancer sector to be more connected and responsive to the specific needs of people with cancer and their loved ones.
