At Cancer Council Tasmania, our supporters play a vital role in helping us create positive and lasting change in the Tasmanian community. Due to the continued growth of our services and the increasing support of our donor community, we are seeking a Donor Relationships Coordinator to join our Engagement & Fundraising team in this newly created role.

What you'll be doing

As our Donor Relationships Coordinator, you'll play a key role in creating meaningful connections between our supporters and the work of Cancer Council Tasmania. You'll coordinate our annual Cash Appeal Campaigns from start to finish, working closely with our Marketing team to ensure campaigns are delivered smoothly, on time and with maximum impact.

You'll also take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of our Regular Giving and Workplace Giving programs. From welcoming new donors and managing acknowledgements through to stewardship, renewals and ongoing engagement, you'll help create a positive experience that encourages long-term support. You'll work with donors and workplace partners to strengthen relationships and support initiatives that grow and retain our supporter community, coordinate and attend speaking engagements and support activities that build awareness of Cancer Council Tasmania and what we do.

Beyond campaign delivery, you'll contribute to fundraising planning and reporting, helping to implement fundraising strategies and track performance. As part of a small and collaborative team, you'll be happy rolling up your sleeves to support broader fundraising and engagement activities. You may also represent Cancer Council Tasmania at community events and will contribute to a positive, supportive team culture where ideas and knowledge are shared.

Is this you?

You're someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships and creating positive experiences for others. Whether you're speaking with a donor, coordinating a campaign, analysing data or managing competing priorities, you bring a professional, organised and people-focused approach to everything you do.

You may already be working in fundraising, donor services, customer relationship management, community engagement or a similar field, and you're looking for an opportunity to apply your skills in a purpose-driven organisation.

You'll bring strong communication and relationship-building skills, along with the confidence to engage with a wide range of people. You're comfortable working with databases and reporting tools, have excellent attention to detail, and understand the importance of maintaining accurate, sensitive information.

Importantly, you're proactive and adaptable. You enjoy finding solutions and thrive in a collaborative environment where priorities can shift and no two days are quite the same.

Experience with fundraising campaigns, cash appeals, regular giving programs, workplace giving initiatives and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or similar) would be highly regarded, as would experience in the not-for-profit sector. Most of all, we're looking for someone who is passionate about supporter engagement and motivated by the opportunity to make a genuine difference through their work.

Why work with us?

  • Meaningful work that makes a genuine difference in people's lives.
  • Part-time hours (0.6 FTE), offering flexibility to work around other commitments.
  • Supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • Opportunities to develop your fundraising and donor engagement expertise.
  • Access to attractive salary packaging benefits.
  • The opportunity to build lasting relationships with supporters who are aligned with Cancer Council Tasmania's impact.

At Cancer Council Tasmania, we want to ensure our supporters feel connected to the impact they help create. If you are dedicated to creating exceptional donor experiences and have a talent for coordinating fundraising initiatives and building strong supporter relationships, we would love to hear from you.
