Cancer Council Australia welcomes Jacinta Reddan as new CEO

Cancer Council Australia announces the appointment of Ms Jacinta Reddan, commencing today as Chief Executive Officer.

Jacinta brings extensive experience in senior leadership roles, with a distinguished career in corporate communications, government and media relations in Australia and across APAC in the finance, banking, investment management and public relations sectors, as well as serving on a number of boards.

Most recently, Jacinta led a highly successful advocacy and economic development program for Far North Queensland in her role as CEO of Advance Cairns. This role included bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders in federal, state and local government, industry, tourism, and key economic sectors in the region.

“Jacinta will bring great experience and commitment to maintaining and building strong relationships with government policy makers, the public health and cancer care sectors and people affected by cancer. This approach will be instrumental in leading Cancer Council Australia’s delivery of high-quality cancer prevention, support, advocacy and research programs.”

Jacinta said, “like many Australians, I have a deep respect for Cancer Council Australia’s role as a trusted source of cancer information and support, and effective advocacy for cancer control policies. I’m excited to join this terrific organisation and influence change for the more than 150,000 families affected by cancer every year.”
