About Cancer Council Australia
Cancer Council Australia is the nation’s leading non-government cancer control organisation, focused on reducing the impact of cancer through research, prevention, and support. We work alongside the community, health professionals, and government to provide trusted information and services to those affected by cancer. With a mission to save lives and create a cancer-free future, Cancer Council offers a purpose-driven workplace where everyone can make a meaningful difference to help improve outcomes for people affected by cancer.
About the role
The Cancer Navigation Service is a key component of the Australian Government’s Australian Cancer Nursing and Navigation Program (ACNNP). This national initiative is enhancing and expanding Cancer Council’s existing information and support services to provide more timely, equitable, and culturally safe access to information, navigation, and support for anyone impacted by cancer. The project aims to integrate, strengthen, and digitalise navigation pathways, offering new ways for people to connect with support that best meets their needs now and into the future.
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Quality and Reporting Coordinator to support the delivery of the National Cancer Navigation Program. Working closely with the Senior National Major Projects Manager, this role plays a key coordination function across quality and reporting workstreams, ensuring projects run smoothly, documentation is maintained, and stakeholders are supported.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and coordination support across program activities
Maintain project documentation, shared folders, and tracking tools
Coordinate meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking
Assist in preparing presentations and materials for workshops and stakeholder sessions
Monitor project milestones and timelines, providing updates as required
Support data collection and preparation of summary reports
Assist with stakeholder communication across teams and jurisdictions
About you
You are a highly organised and detail-oriented coordinator who enjoys working across multiple projects and stakeholders to keep things running smoothly. You bring a proactive mindset, take pride in maintaining high-quality documentation, and are comfortable adapting to evolving priorities in a dynamic program environment. You bring:
Proven experience in a project coordination, administration, or support role, ideally within a complex or multi-stakeholder environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines, particularly within a part-time capacity
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records, documentation, and tracking systems
Clear and professional communication skills, with confidence engaging with internal and external stakeholders
Experience supporting meetings and events, including preparing agendas, minutes, and presentation materials
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, knowing when to take initiative and when to seek guidance
Confidence working with data, including collecting, collating and contributing to basic reporting outputs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project tracking or collaboration tools
