About the role
The Campaign Marketing Project Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery of national cancer control campaigns that drive behaviour change and improve health outcomes across Australia. Working within the Cancer Control Campaigns and Communications division, you will play a key role in supporting the operational delivery of integrated marketing campaigns.
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Campaign Marketing Project Officer to support the delivery of national cancer control campaigns that drive behaviour change and improve health outcomes across Australia. Partnering closely with the Campaign Project Manager, you will coordinate timelines, workflows and day-to-day project activities, ensuring campaigns are delivered efficiently and effectively. This is a fast-paced and collaborative role where you will work across internal teams and external agency partners, supporting campaign development, creative execution, stakeholder communication and evaluation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting project planning, timelines, milestones and deliverables across campaign activities
- Maintaining project documentation including trackers, timelines and status updates
- Coordinating workflows, meetings and follow-ups to support effective delivery
- Assisting with campaign governance processes, including approvals and documentation tracking
- Supporting budget tracking, invoice processing and financial administration
- Coordinating with external agencies including creative, media and research partners
- Supporting the delivery and organisation of campaign creative assets and materials
- Assisting with stakeholder communications, reporting and project updates
- Supporting campaign evaluation processes and reporting
About you
You are an organised and detail-oriented project coordinator who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You are confident managing multiple priorities and take a proactive approach to supporting project delivery. You are a strong communicator who can work effectively with a range of stakeholders and contribute to delivering high-quality campaign outcomes.
You are confident supporting the delivery of integrated campaigns and are comfortable working across both the creative and operational aspects of project delivery. You bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and are able to manage competing deadlines and adapt as priorities evolve. You are motivated by purpose-driven work and are passionate about making a positive impact.
You bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Project Management or a related
discipline - 2–4 years’ experience in project coordination, account management, marketing or communications roles
- Experience supporting campaign or project delivery, including timelines and task coordination
- Experience working with external vendors such as agencies or suppliers
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with project tracking tools
- A collaborative, proactive approach and alignment with Cancer Council Australia’s mission
- Experience in public health, social marketing or government-funded environments (desirable)
