Social Media & Content Coordinator

Hobart, Launceston or Devonport, TAS

Part Time

The Cancer Council Tasmania brand is highly regarded and trusted in the Tasmanian community and important to our continuing success.  As demand for our services continues to grow, we are recruiting a Social Media & Content Coordinator to support and amplify the important work we do within our community.

About the Role

The Social Media and Content Coordinator is instrumental in bringing Cancer Council Tasmania’s brand to life across digital platforms. This role is responsible for coordinating social media and content creation across all areas of Cancer Council Tasmania, to engage with and build our audiences as well as support organisational communication strategies and fundraising objectives. The role will assist with developing and implementing organic and paid social media campaigns, ensuring integration across channels and focusing on branding excellence and impact.

About You

This role will suit a proactive, creative and innovative professional, with considerable knowledge and experience working with Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager. You will have a talent for storytelling and creating content that cuts through - from clever copy and visually striking graphics to impactful short format videos and reels. You will also have skills in general data management and reporting. Experience managing more complex paid digital campaigns including google ads will be highly regarded.

You will need to be self-motivated and possess exceptional time-management, communication and analytical skills with an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in social media management, digital marketing and content creation are therefore essential. Competence in digital analytics, brand and communication management will also be advantageous.

This role would suit someone who is looking for part-time work. At 0.6 FTE, flexibility is offered to also work around other commitments.

Having cancer is hard – the work that Cancer Council Tasmania does has a life-long impact on thousands of Tasmanians. Personally, you’ll get to make a difference in people’s lives every day. We look forward to welcoming people who want to work for an organisation that is fiercely committed to making a difference in the lives of others.
