Join Us for Daffodil Day – 20 & 21 August 2026!
Across Tasmania, mark your calendars for the annual Cancer Council Tasmania fundraiser event, “Daffodil Day”! Join our dedicated Cancer Council Tasmania group of volunteers manning Daffodil Day stalls in streets and shopping centres. By doing so, you’ll help raise crucial funds, bringing us one step closer to a cancer-free future. 😊
We have stall operating Thursday 20th Statewide, and also Friday 21st August in Southern Tas only.
🌼What’s Happening?
- We’ll be selling fresh daffodils and delightful merchandise at stalls set up in shopping centres, malls, and various locations across the state.
🌟 Volunteer Opportunities:
- We’re calling on enthusiastic volunteers like you!
- Each stall will be manned by two people working together.
- Don’t worry if you’re new to this—we have a friendly events coordinator available to guide you.
- Role details will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary.
🕒 Flexible Commitment:
- Can you spare a half day? A whole day? We’d love to have you!
- Your time and dedication make a difference in our fight against cancer.

All you really need is a willingness to help raise funds for Cancer Council Tasmania by helping on our Daffodil Day stalls. Full or half days between 9am-5pm on either day (Friday 21st in Southern Tas only) depending on what you are able to provide.

Clothes4Cancer Retail Assistant Volunteer Roles Currently Available - Devonport Region
Cancer Council Tasmania's (CCT) Opportunity Shop, Clothes4Cancer is on the lookout for willing volunteers to assist us in our shop based in East Devonport.
These roles will be providing a welcoming presence to all customers to the Clothes4Cancer Opportunity Shop, including assistance with shop sales, sorting of donations, shop displays and various other tasks involved with the running of the shop.
Transport2Treatment Volunteer Roles Currently Available - Southern and North West Tasmania
Our Volunteer t2t Drivers are responsible for using a CCT company vehicle to provide a safe, supportive, flexible and professional transport service for clients with cancer and their caregivers travelling to access treatment.
We are looking for experienced drivers who are caring, compassionate and are able to commit up to a day during the working week. You will be required to pick up cancer patients from their homes, take them to their cancer treatment appointments and return them home.
Our t2t drivers tell us the role is very rewarding. In particular, the ability to participate in a program that provides a valued no-cost to patients service and the relationships that they establish with cancer patients.
You will need to consent to a Police Check, possess or ability to obtain a WWVP Card (reimbursement available) and a current driver's license.
