NGO & Sector Partnerships Advisory Group

Expression of Interest

Cancer Council Australia is inviting expressions of interest from individuals interested in participating in the NGO & Sector Partnerships Advisory Group supporting the National Cancer Navigation Service.

The National Cancer Navigation Service is being developed to help people affected by cancer connect more easily with information, support and services.

The advisory group brings together practical sector, service and implementation perspectives to help support effective delivery of the service across the broader cancer and community support system.

About the advisory group

The NGO & Sector Partnerships Advisory Group provides system-level and operational advice at key points in delivery.

The group may be asked to provide input on:

  • referral pathways and service interfaces
  • coordination across NGO and community-based services
  • implementation risks or unintended impacts
  • service accessibility and operational feasibility
  • communication and rollout considerations

The advisory group is intended to support practical, coordinated implementation of the Navigation Service across jurisdictions and service environments.

Participation is advisory in nature and linked to specific delivery questions or milestones.

Who we are seeking

We are particularly interested in hearing from people who:

  • hold leadership, operational or service coordination roles within NGOs, community organisations or relevant sector bodies
  • have experience delivering, coordinating or overseeing cancer-related, navigation-adjacent or supportive care services
  • can bring practical insight across organisational, jurisdictional or service-system boundaries

Members participate as individuals with sector and implementation insight, rather than as mandated organisational representatives.

Participation approach

Participation is intended to be flexible, practical and time-limited.

Members may be invited to:

  • occasional online meetings or workshops
  • targeted implementation discussions
  • review and respond to specific questions or materials

There is no expectation of ongoing standing meetings or regular attendance.

How to apply

Please submit a short expression of interest outlining:

  • your current role and organisation
  • relevant experience or sector perspective
  • the insight or perspective you would bring to the advisory group

Expressions of interest close at 5:00pm AEST on Friday 12 June 2026.

Please submit EOIs to: navigationengagement@cancer.org.au
