With a mission to save lives and create a cancer-free future, Cancer Council offers a purpose-driven workplace where everyone can make a meaningful difference to help improve outcomes for people affected by cancer.

About the role

Cancer Council Australia is seeking a Campaign Officer to join our Campaigns team. As Campaign Officer Paid Media, you will play a key role in delivering national behaviour change campaigns designed to reduce the impact of cancer across Australia.

You will support the planning, execution and optimisation of paid media activity across digital, programmatic, social and selected offline channels. Working closely with internal teams and external agencies, you will help ensure campaigns are implemented accurately, perform strongly, and contribute to measurable behaviour change outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to work on large scale national campaigns, collaborate with a broad mix of stakeholders, manage timelines and approvals, and contribute to continuous improvement in how campaigns are delivered and evaluated.

About you

You are a detail focused and capable marketing professional who enjoys working with media platforms, data and people. You thrive in a fast paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and are motivated by contributing to meaningful public health outcomes.

You bring:

  • 3+ years’ experience in marketing, communications, media or campaign delivery
  • Demonstrated experience working across paid media, with an understanding of how digital and offline channels work together
  • Hands on experience building, managing or troubleshooting campaigns in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads and YouTube, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret media performance data and translate it into clear insights and recommendations
  • Experience working with media agencies, including understanding media plans and performance dashboards
  • Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Media or a related field
  • Commitment to the purpose and values of Cancer Council Australia

We welcome and actively encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, people with a disability, the LGBTQI+ community, mature age workers, as well as parents and carers returning to the workforce.

Why work with us?

At Cancer Council Australia, you don’t just join a team, you join a movement. As a non-profit organisation, our mission is to prevent cancer, empower patients, and save lives. You’ll benefit from:
