Jacinta Reddan
Chief Executive Officer
Jacinta Reddan brings decades of leadership experience in advocacy and stakeholder engagement to Cancer Council Australia. She has worked across multiple sectors including financial services (insurance, banking and asset management), defence, tourism, public health and infrastructure across Asia-Pacific and Australia.
Jacinta also brings a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the delivery of health services in rural and remote Australia, having served in an advocacy leadership role covering Far North Queensland, an area spanning from Torres Strait and the Cape, south to Mission Beach and across to the Gulf of Carpentaria. Her work brought together diverse stakeholders across federal, state and local government, industry, and key health and economic sectors in the region.
She has served on a number of boards, and government and industry forums in Hong Kong and Australia including the board of a university School of Dental Health and a national critical infrastructure cybersecurity start-up. Jacinta has also served as a mentor to secondary schools students from across the Cape and Torres Strait through the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation.
Jacinta currently sits on the Australian Chronic Disease Prevention Alliance and is a strong campaigner on matters relating to key public health issues such as Australia’s tobacco control policy. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, has a degree in International Relations and Anthropology from Deakin University and a public health qualification through HarvardX.
