About the role
Cancer Council Australia is seeking a Technology Project Manager who will play a key role in delivering the technology roadmap that underpins the Cancer Navigation Program which is part of the Australian Government’s Cancer Nursing and Navigation Program.
You will lead the delivery of multiple IT projects internal and vendor-driven ensuring all solutions are aligned, scalable, and impactful. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the Cancer Council Federation to implement new technologies, enhance existing systems, and manage change effectively.
About you
You’re an experienced Project Manager with 10+ years’ experience managing complex IT projects, preferably within health or not-for-profit sectors. You bring
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Exceptional analytical, organisational, and risk management skills.
- Solid technical knowledge in software development and CRM systems.
- Experience in managing change, including training and support for end-users.
- A proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, manage change, and drive outcomes.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards and their implications for IT projects.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and solve complex problems in a healthcare IT environment.
- A strong understanding of Project Management frameworks, and experience leading geographically distributed teams and vendors.
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or ScrumMaster certification.
- Experience with CXP, DXP, and integration platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare standards, regulations, and digital innovation.
- Demonstrated success in managing project financials and promoting continuous improvement
