About the role

Cancer Council Australia is seeking a Project Officer to join our National Cancer Control Policy team. As a Project Officer, you will apply your skills in evidence review, critical appraisal and data extraction to maintain and update national cancer control policies. Provide secretariat support to national policy committees, including supporting meeting documentation, maintaining accurate records and assisting members as needed. Work closely with a diverse range of colleagues and subject matter experts from clinical organisations and societies, and across the Cancer Council Federation

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in public health, science, communications or similar, OR progress towards post graduate qualifications in these areas.
  • Understanding of the principles of evidence-based policy and experience with scientific literature databases and analysis of scientific literature.
  • Demonstrated organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working effectively in a team setting.
