Are you an analytical and detail - orientated thinker with research, evidence and policy analysis skills? Are you after a role where these significant skills can be put to good use every day?

As Cancer Council Tasmania’s Research & Policy Coordinator (flexible, permanent, part time 0.6 FTE), you will play a pivotal role in bringing together evidence-based research and public health policy, used to support Cancer Council Tasmania’s messaging and influence cancer control policy and practice in Tasmania.

As examples, in this role you will assist with:

  • Maintaining and disseminating cancer control evidence to internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor emerging developments, evidence and related policy opportunities in the field
  • Prepare evidence-based research and policy briefings, presentations and reports
  • Deliver on specific research projects, such as the triennial Australian Secondary Students’ Alcohol & Drug Survey (ASSAD)
  • Assist with the development of research proposals and policies
  • Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, representing Cancer Council Tasmania at key working groups and committees

We are looking for someone with tertiary qualifications and relevant work experience in public health or public policy, both experienced and confident engaging with stakeholders and consumers from diverse backgrounds and who really enjoys immersing themselves into research and policy analysis - which is what this role is all about!
