Part-Time Position
 |
Applications close 28 January 2026

Are you passionate about bringing people together for a great cause? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love seeing your hard work make a real impact? Join us as Fundraising & Events Coordinator (0.9 FTE) and help deliver some of Tasmania’s most iconic fundraising events!

At Cancer Council Tasmania, we’re dedicated to improving health outcomes for people impacted by cancer. As part of our small, dynamic team, you’ll play a key role in coordinating major events in Southern Tasmania – including our flagship Relay For Life, the glamorous Hobart Gala Ball, and community favourites like Daffodil Day and Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.

The role in a nut-shell:

  • Hands-on coordination of our annual Hobart Relay For Life event – from logistics and volunteer coordination to post-event analysis.
  • Active support and assistance with the Hobart Gala Ball and other high-profile fundraising activities, such as the logistical coordination of Daffodil Day.
  • Engage with the community to grow participation and strengthen and actively manage relationships with volunteers, sponsors, and partners.
  • Bring fresh ideas to fundraising and help us achieve maximum impact for our mission.

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone experienced in event coordination and fundraising, ideally in a community setting.
  • A people-person who loves building relationships and thrives in a busy, collaborative environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills – juggling multiple priorities is second nature to you.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and online fundraising platforms.
  • A can-do attitude and passion for making a difference.

Why join us?

  • Be part of a purpose-driven organisation making a real impact in the lives of Tasmanians.
  • Work in a supportive, close-knit team that values creativity and collaboration.
  • Enjoy a role that’s varied, rewarding, and community-focused, with flexible working options on offer.
