Applications close 23 March 2026

Are you a relationship‑driven professional with an inherent ability to nurture meaningful corporate partnerships. Do you have experience and enjoy delivering signature events? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love seeing your efforts make a real impact? Join us as the Manager – Partnerships & Sponsorships (part time, 0.6 FTE), where you’ll play a key role in securing high‑value partnerships and elevating Cancer Council Tasmania’s profile through exceptional stakeholder engagement and premium event leadership.

At Cancer Council Tasmania, we’re dedicated to improving health outcomes for people impacted by cancer. As part of our small, dynamic Fundraising & Events team, you’ll play a pivotal role in growing and nurturing strategic partnerships that support our mission.

What you’ll do

There are three main parts to the Manager Sponsorships & Partnerships role. In a nutshell you would be working towards:

Partnerships & Sponsorships

  • Identify, secure and manage high‑value partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Secure sponsorships and collaborations that create shared value for both partners and Cancer Council Tasmania.
  • Collaborate with our Marketing team to develop promotional strategies and drive brand visibility.

Event Leadership

  • Lead the strategic planning and delivery of three significant regional gala events in Hobart, Launceston and Devonport.
  • Guide and support our regional event coordinators across all event phases.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts and core logistics.
  • Contribute to on‑site delivery of these signature events.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Track partnership performance through our CRM.
  • Provide insights in post‑event and partnership reporting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of agreements and activities.

Is this you?

Ideally we are looking for someone with five+ years’ experience in partnerships, sponsorship, business development or fundraising, preferably in the not-for profit space. Supported by your excellent project management, communication and negotiation skills, you bring a strong track record of securing high‑value corporate partnerships and building productive stakeholder relationships.

You have significant hands-on senior experience working within premium event environments such as gala or award nights. Your leadership style enables you to guide and support a small team effectively to do this, and you’re confident using CRM systems, project management tools and the Microsoft Office suite to help you manage your work.

Flexibility is important in this role, and you’re comfortable travelling intrastate and occasionally working evenings or weekends. You could be based in either our Hobart or Launceston offices, joining a dedicated fundraising and events team doing great things within our community. This role would suit someone who is looking for part-time work, and at 0.6 FTE, offers flexibility to work around other commitments.

If you are a driven, self‑motivated events professional who thrives on building relationships and creating meaningful partnerships, this may just be the perfect role for you!
